A Boost for CMR’s Future Travel Safety

Given to me by Aunty Cindy Bux, a Travel Stone to protect me during my travels and reporting on positive Aboriginal stories from across Victoria.

I’m always heartened and further motivated when people share their enthusiasm about the plan to take CMR on the road. Ten years of reporting on positive Aboriginal stories from around and across Victoria.

I almost broke down in tears when the beautiful Aunty Cindy Bux, upon hearing my plans, presented me with this amazing Travel Stone to keep in Violet the Van.

Along with a moving prayer to help protect me in my travels, Aunty Cindy explained that the Travel Stone would afford me further safety. “Keep it with you always,” she said to me; and it’s something I intend to do.

It’s an intimidating thing to do at 62 years of any. Well, any age, I’m sure. Get rid of just about all my possessions, spend my last dollars on a new van, and start working to just travel and report stories with no financial support for ten years. But with the encouragement so so many of our mob, I know it’s going to work out!

Respect to you, and thanks for reading this post. 🙂
