VAHS Yarning About Autism

This free information sessions from VAHS is about living with autism. You will be able to ask questions about autism and the impacts this may have on your child. Parents will be assisted to think about ways to help meet their child’s need. Attendees will be staff and community who are involved with raising Aboriginal children. A light lunch will be provided.

When: Wednesday 27 June 2018 10:30am – 1:00pm.

2018 NAIDOC Elders Luncheon

The Aborigines Advancement League in Thornbury will be holding its 2018 NAIDOC Elders Luncheon on Tuesday 3 July 2018 between midday and 3pm. A three course lunch is provided, along with entertainment and door prizes. All elders are welcome.

Darebin City Council is actively seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are interested in working in a highly regarded and supportive organisation. The one year traineeship offers unique and exciting work across two programs, our Creative Culture and Events team and Bundoora Park Farm team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and enhance your career path. Successful candidates who undertake and complete the 12 month traineeships program will acquire a Cert III in Business Administration and will have the opportunity to join Council’s casual pool or have access to supported employment pathways.
