Educators’ Resource: Deadly Dan At The League

Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) Healthy Lifestyle Team and Darebin City Council are presenting a professional development opportunity for all early years and primary school educators with Deadly Dan, Aboriginal superhero and star of children’s illustrated book and film, ‘Deadly Dan At The League’.

Free Screening: Connection To Country

The Whittlesea Reconciliation Group (WRG) will host two free screenings of Connection to Country to engage community in a conversation about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ deep connections to Country and the need to protect sites of significance.

Ngwala Willumbong BBQ Information Day

Ngwala Willumbong will be conducting a BBQ Information Day at the Doveton Aboriginal Gathering Place for all community members. This is a great opportunity to connect with community and find out more about the range of services Ngwala has to offer – Housing Support, Family Violence Support Programs – Koori Youth Programs – and a heck of a lot more.

Indigenous Australians: The Promise of the Future

La Trobe University is presenting a conversation between Noel Pearson – one of Indigenous Australia’s most important leaders – and Professor Megan Davis – a distinguished member of the younger generation of Indigenous leaders. The conversation will focus on “Australia’s future – the relations between its indigenous and non-indigenous peoples”.
