With radio classed by the Victorian State Government as essential services, the December 2020 launch of Connection Matters Radio has been fast-tracked… to now!

It will launch on 3KND 1503AM on Monday the 20th of April 2020 between 7:00pm and 10:00pm before being available as a podcast on various podcasting platforms.

Positive Aboriginal stories

Charles is constantly on the lookout for positive Aboriginal stories from around Victoria that will make good radio. These are stories that show the world just how resilient, strong, innovative and deadly our People are.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With COVID-19 hitting the world damn hard, and in particular putting our People at risk, so many of our Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) have done amazing work at supporting our communities. These are just some of the stories that are ideal for Connection Matters Radio.

But it isn’t just about ACCOs. It’s about you. The Connection Matters Radio audience would be thrilled to hear stories of individual success – stories that can inspire and motivate.

What’s Involved?

In the majority of cases an interview on Connection Matters Radio is pre-recorded, which means you are not going live to air.

With COVID-19 restrictions in place, the interview is conducted over the phone and recorded, using specialist equipment.

Prior to being broadcast, your interview is edited, so if you make a mistake, it’s cut out and discarded. After all, the focus is on the positive story you tell.
