Overview
Ever looking to engage and empower Victoria’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth, the Koorie Youth Council has launched a new online service to support and engage with youth in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Joining Connection Matters Radio (CMR) to talk about the initiative was the Council’s Bryce Taylor.
“Myself, Indi Clarke and Dougie Briggs at the Koorie Youth Council, we were having some conversations with Uncle Troy Austin and Uncle Lionel Bamblett, just around the need for certain services and just opportunities for young people who might be at risk or susceptible to being at risk, particularly in the Northern region.”
The result of those conversations was that from the 27th of October 2020 to the 15th of December 2020, KYC will run weekly sessions each Tuesday from 4:30pm via Zoom (see below for more information).
Read or listen to the full interview (above and below) for everything that Bryce had to say about this great initiative from KYC.
