Red Cross Youth Justice Advisory Group seeks to reshape impact of justice system on youth

When young people experience the youth justice system, it can be traumatic and life-changing. One of several organisations that works within the system to support young people who are either in the youth justice system or have been otherwise impacted by the System is Red Cross. Across the country, that organisations provides programs such as prisoner support, Visitor support, and, through its WorkREDI program, mentoring, training and skill development opportunities. Helping shape those and other similar Red Cross initiatives in Victoria is the Youth Justice Advisory Group. Speaking about the Group with CMR’s Charles Pakana is Red Cross Youth Justice Program Officer, Chloe McBain.
